In the special, Rock only briefly mentioned the slap until the final minutes of the show.

When talking about insults, Rock said that words don't hurt as much as physical

Rock also made a joke about not wanting to upset Snoop Dogg, adding "The last thing I need is another mad rapper."

Towards the end of the show, Rock opened up about the slap, saying that it still hurts and referencing the ringing in his ears.

However, he also made it clear that he doesn't consider himself a victim and wouldn't go on Oprah or Gayle to cry about it.

Rock also pointed out that he is smaller than Will Smith and joked that Smith's outrage was misplaced.

He also made a reference to Jada Pinkett Smith's affair with rapper Augustus Alsina, saying that it hurt Will more than the slap hurt him.
