4. So far the scheme has been launched in five districts viz.
Role of APSHCL- Functioning as a Techno-Financial Company,
APSHCL plays a crucial role in fostering self-help and mutual assistance in constructing permanent houses in both rural and urban areas. Serving as the nodal agency for centrally assisted housing schemes, the corporation also implements state-sponsored housing initiatives. Notably, APSHCL advocates for cost-effective and eco-friendly building components and technologies, ensuring the supply of construction materials to beneficiaries.
Andra Pradesh Government Initiatives:
The Government of Andhra Pradesh has been proactive in supporting housing programs, distributing house site pattas, and supplying construction materials like cement and sand to beneficiaries at subsidized rates. Additionally, the government facilitates loans at a 3% interest rate, further expediting the completion of houses.
APSHCL’s commitment extends beyond housing construction to infrastructure development. Levelling, road construction, electrification, and water supply projects are underway in YSR Jagananna Colonies, enhancing the overall living standards of the beneficiaries.
PMAY-G and PMAY-Urban Programs:
The corporation actively participates in the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana-Gramin (PMAY-G) and Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana-Urban (PMAY-Urban) programs. With a focus on fairness and transparency, APSHCL uses SECC 2011 data and Awaas+ lists to identify eligible beneficiaries, prioritizing those in dire need.
Identification and Selection of Beneficiaries
The process involves multi-layered prioritization based on housing deprivation parameters, ensuring that the assistance reaches those genuinely in need. The involvement of Gram Sabhas adds a local touch, verifying and validating the selection process

The first phase of PMU will complete in the next month. The second phase will be launched next month. The government will start providing housing facilities to the beneficiaries who gave proof of income.
The residents will be provided homes under various schemes of the government, whether it is the houses to be provided under Rental Housing Scheme (RHS) or the houses under the PMRDA.
However, only those who gave proof of income can apply for this scheme. The priority will be given to the beneficiaries who are farmers and pensioners.
The State government will make the list of beneficiaries and hand over the documents to the housing authorities. When the beneficiaries show the income certificate to the housing authorities, they will provide the house to them.
