This scheme is financial assistance for those girls who belong to SC, ST, and minority families. The Kalyana Lakshmi/Shaadi Mubarak scheme was launched by Telangana State Government in 2014 for the purpose of financial help for girls who are belong to poor families at the time of marriage. This help is possible only when a girl turns 18 years and her family wants to marry her.
The government of Telangana helps those families whose annual income is less than 20000 and they belong to SC, ST, OBC, EBC, and minority class. The objective of starting this scheme is to help those poor people of the state who do not get their daughters married on time due to lack of money. The government of Telangana state gives an amount of Rs 1000116 as assistance to such poor families at the time of their daughter’s marriage.

This financial assistance is given at the time of the bride’s wedding to the bride’s family. The Telangana government had set a budget of about 1450 crores for the year 2018 -2019 for the TS Kalyan Laxmi Scheme.
Under this scheme, the Telangana government gives about 70000 rupees as the first installment to the bride’s family and the remaining amount of 30116 rupees after the bride is married.
